Hey guys! As a "monsterkid" who grew up in the New Jersey/New York area (for a reference point, I was born in 1968) in the early seventies, you couldn't help but be "intimately acquainted" with the larger than life Charlton Heston. Whether it be through ABC's "4:30 Movie" (which featured him prominently during "Ape week"-Planet and Beneath the Planet of the Apes, as well as routinely running "The Omega Man" and "Soylent Green" during the same week), Easter Sunday's "Ten Commandments", or prime-time showings of disaster film blockbusters like "Earthquake" and "Airport", Chuck was inescapable!

Although I am not enamoured with his political stances, I found his dramatic reading of the lyrics of "Body Count's" (Ice-T's band) graphic song "Cop Killer" to be an illustrative highlight.

I hope no one takes this the wrong way, but I hope his early noir "Dark City" will FINALLY be released now.

Time to meet your maker (again) R.I.P.
