Last year, I watched Subversive Cinema's R1 DVD of THE CANDY SNATCHERS (1973); a fun film, with good supplemental features... except that, for every menu screen item you might click, you'd get (literally) a minute-long+ clip (or montage of clips) from the movie, even if you were simply just going for "Scene Selection" or "Audio Options". Not only was this stuff a potential bushel of spoilers for newbies, but even if you had seen the film before, it was taking (seemingly) a lifetime before you could do what would normally take a split-second to do on nearly any other DVD. I think whoever designed the menus (or whoever called the shots) was a bit too much in love with the film.
