Let's hope they don't change it too much to be a re-hash of the original. I believe the most recent passes were by David Self. Original director Mark Romanek left very shortly before production was fully underway, his leaving variously attributed to budget issues, scheduling issues in light of the then-current writer's strike, and good old 'creative differences'. Taken all together, it does sorta seem like something changed script-wise that was a major stickiing-point for Romanek, but who knows*? *I mean, 'who knows' that both posts here and isn't directly involved in the production, leaving him, one assumes, in a bit of a difficult position (even legally) regarding any on-record confirmations/dismissals of the above.

well, somethings HAVE changed script-wise as far as i can tell, and that's always a given. What i read was the first draft(or atleast thats what i was told it was). But really, i can confirm, from reading this script and based on the report that Hugo Weaving was cast as a Scotland Yard detective(who wasn't in the draft i read, but a character this one is probably expanded upon is in the draft and isn't really important...at all.) that something has been changed around a bit. What it is exactly and how it will play off is yet to be seen.
