Thanks to all for the encouraging words

You're very welcome, Maestro! Just so you know, here is one Monster Kid who was incredibly impressed as a tyke when your American Werewolf finally hit HBO. I fully accepted it as the "real deal", what "real werewolves" looked like, and that monster movies had kicked things up to a whole new level from the Jack Pierce-Roy Ashton old school. Even at that tender age, I instantly knew who you were and to make special note of any film you did since. The Howling has always been fun with cool effects in my book, but it's never had a patch on American Werewolf and all the effects and make-ups you created for that classic.

For those who wonder how Del Toro might sound as the Wolf Man, take another look (and listen) to Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. They did some messing around with his voice for some moments, but I think that's mostly him. Some of his shrieks, screams, and growls are really frightening! Check out the scenes where he's threatening that guy in the elevator, and later when he has the lengthy confrontation with Depp from the bathtub and then when he charges into the hotel room. Plus, he knocks a wooden chair across the room like it's a Dixie cup! I'm looking forward to Del Toro selling those werewolf attacks with just his physical strength and acting chops, a la Naschy.

Oh, and did anyone mention that those Wolfman pics are pretty good? image
