It was Wich2's insertion of that great Alex Raymond Sunday page! Thanks, Wich2! Scrolling from side to side is a small price to pay for seeing that art. Raymond hired other artists to draw the daily Flash Gordon strip and would spend the entire week working on the Sunday strip. It's funny that we should be talking about Alex Raymond and Flash Gordon in this thread. I've been watching a lot of old Buck Jones Westerns over the past couple of weeks. There's something about Buck Jones' look and stance that reminds me an awful lot of Flash Gordon. When I'm watching those old Westerns I find myself thinking about Alex Raymond's art and Frank Frazetta's early pen and ink work. I wonder if those old Buck Jones movies could have been an influence or a reference point?
