I've always thought that Carmine Infantino was the bridge between the cartoonier style of the Golden Age and the realism of Neal Adams. This is apropos of nothing, but has anybody else noticed that as comic artists get older, their characters become heavier and squatty? This definitely happened with Infantino, Kirby, Kane and others. Don't know why. I guess as they aged, the artists themselves got heavier and squatty!
