I can't recall if this has been nominated before, but if Fiction is being added as a separate Book category, David White's FANTOMAS IN AMERICA (Black Coat Press) deserves consideration. Not only is it the first Fantomas novel to be published since the 1940s, it's in part an attempt to reconstruct the 1920 FANTOMAS serial made here in America, which some sources claim featured a bit part by Boris Karloff. It also features characters from elsewhere in cinema, like the streetgang from DW Griffith's 1912 THE MUSKETEERS OF PIG ALLEY.
