Cardy was a great artist. I think he was about the best at DC through the first half of the 60's. And, I've always thought his style was echoed a bit by the artist who handled the Superboy incarnation following the Doomsday/Death of Superman storyline. You know, the Superboy in the leather jacket and sunglasses? Who is that artist? His style reminded me an awful lot of the type of work that Cardy did at DC in the 60's. Is it Tom Grumman? Something like that? Anyway, I got a feeling that artist learned to draw by doing a ton of swipes of Cardy's work as a kid.
