For Best Horror Comic, Single Story (and maybe there should be two categories, with Best Horror Comic, Series another category), I'll happily suggest ABSOLUTE TERROR, a two-part story in DC's DETECTIVE COMICS, issues 835 and 836.. Written by John Rozum and drawn by Tom Mandrake, the second-tier character of "The Scarecrow" was amazingly reinvigorated as a foe of Gotham's caped vigilante. The character became a calculating psychotic, as frightening as a Hannibal Lector. Some memorable images of scarecrows, some containing murder victims, made this one of the most scary mainstream comics stories in ages.

Richard Valley of SCARLET STREET (previously suggested) and Joe Meadows of HORROR-WOOD are names to consider for Hall of Fame.

Pierre Fournier of the Frankensteinia blog/website debuted one of the most impressive monster websites ever in 2007, and is another person worthy to consider for Monster Kid of The Year.
