If it is at all possible to see this film over the upcoming weekend, by all means go for it. I saw this and Sweeney Todd within a couple days of each other and almost went into shock from the overabundance of gothic horror cinematic spendor. The Orphanage is a bit familiar to elements from recent and more classic gothic ghost films, but it all comes together in a great story that's very well told. Oh, and it's damn scary too.
