I agree with most all the Hall of Fame candidates mentioned above (especially Richard Matheson), but, before the deadline, I'd like to make yet one more plea for Walt Lee. It's reaching back into the mists of time for many of those present, I know, but Lee's Reference Guide to Fantastic Films was ground-breaking 35 years ago, and remains, to this day, the ultimate in genre reference works. And this was before personal computers and the internet. Bill Warren still has blistered fingertips from all that typing. Walt Lee may not have the literary chops of a Bloch or the artistic talents of a Wrightson, but for those of us cursed as completists, and mired in minutia (and that certainly takes in a lot of us who hang around here), Lee was a GIANT.
