Well, thanks for spoiling all my disks guys! I actually haven't watched these titles yet. I am kidding, but yes this is rather disappointing because this is all I'm gonna be looking at when I do.

What seems to be the case (not saying it right), is that little labels like Dark Sky, Image, and Kino, often commission other peoples masters prepared for either European labels or TV syndication packages. The sad truth with DVD, especially DVDs of obscure catalog titles is that the masters are usually, primarily done for broadcast, with disks being an optioned afterthought. Obviously in an ideal world the TV masters would be correct to begin with, but I think the sad truth is that there just isn't enough profit in DVDs of these titles for independent labels to do their own techline work. The labels who have (Blue Underground, Casa Negra, Shriekshow....), sadly have either folded or whittled their output down to more commercial releases.
