Charles, Charles. You are posting this in good faith. I know that. Your heart is pure. So's mine.

I figured you'd notice the study was funded by a manufacturer. I read that and thought, "Aha!" Then I thought, "So, there's a dozen (or more) scientists and academics involved, all going over the same data, and all whoring out and selling their souls and professional standing for the almighty buck? No, that's unlikely, I think." If you had a jillion dollars invested in a product that people were saying turned your stomach to plastic, wouldn't it be worth it to fund a study to show that it wasn't true?

Drinking sugared pop to excess has major biochemical effects. I don't do it; just can't. Now, used to Diet Coke, real Coke to me is like swallowing pure sugar.

Can sodium saccharine or aspertame cause DNA wackiness or brain tumors? Not in me. Now, if I fed a pound a day to my dog, he would probably have a problem after a few months, but he also probably wouldn't like me any more, then NObody would lick my feet. Does it seem like a statistical risk? I don't know-- how many people get brain tumors vs. how many people absorb aspertame?

And Diet Pepsi.... burrrruupppp. Dat debbil Pepsin gives me gas sumthin fierce.
