Since there seems to be a Jaws discussion going on here, I have a question for the experts. I recently bought the 30th Anniversary DVD of Jaws, and was surprised to see that there is a scene missing. I searched other Jaws threads, the IMDB, the Jaws site mentioned above, and can find no mention of this.

This is the scene, which I remember from seeing it in the movies back in 1975: It occurs when Quint, Chief Brody and Hooper first go out after the shark, and Quint is using a rod & reel. He is getting ready to bait up, and says something to the chief on the order of, "Special bait for a special fish", and shows him what appears to be a fetal porpoise (or dolphin). The chief may (I can't remember) make a comment about that being illegal.

This scene was always cut on TV, but I was surprised to see it missing from the DVD. Did it ever appear in a home video version? And why cut it out anyway? Anybody know anything about this?
