One thing I like about the American version is the title music (I don't believe it's Ifukube's). I've been trying to identify it. Someone once told me it was originally the title music from KRONOS, but I have a VHS copy of that film, and although it sounds only the slightest bit similar, it's certainly not the same. Much of Universal's stock music was used in the U.S.version, including music from THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Apparently, the only music from the original Ifukube score to make it into the U.S. version was the native chant music. Does anyone know the origin of the Universal version title music? I'd love to track it down and somehow get an mp3 copy of it.
