I am sure TCM will do a tribute.

I put on one of his early Columbia efforts, "Framed" (1947) a very good "B" film noir with Janis Carter doing her typical perverse fatale act that turns Ford inside out before he finally wises up in the final ten minutes.

An added bonus in "Framed" is Edgar Buchanan as a grizzled miner- a role that he quickly patented. Ford and Buchanan got to be very close friends- they made 10 pictures together, I think.

For me, Ford will always be the relentless Dave Bannion in "The Big Heat" (1953) or the love-confused young sharpie who was one side of a triangle in "Gilda" (1946).
