With Sam B. withdrawing his Rondo Award, maybe David can stop eating Tylenol and Tums by the handful.

I have to say however, I am somewhat disappointed in some of the members’ reactions to this whole ordeal. Regardless of what others thought of the situation with Sam B., I feel that too many lowered themselves to a level that is inexcusable. To protest or speak out against a situation is one thing, but to resort to name-calling, personal attacks and hostile postings is as bad, if not worse, than what this entire controversy was calling into question.

I do NOT know Sam B., and have absolutely no affiliation with him; BUT, despite all the name-calling and accusations he has endured these past weeks, never has he resorted to the type of shameful and third-grade name-calling as many here have.

I feel that a great deal of disrespect was also shown or directed towards David Colton by this onslaught of immaturity and adolescent behavior. David not only has a job and family to devote his time to, but he also finds time to devote to the CHFB and the Rondo Awards for our benefit and enjoyment. To accuse or imply that David was either at fault or not doing enough to prevent this controversy was unfair and extremely unappreciative of his time, effort and devotion to the Rondo Awards and the CHFB as a whole.

I find the CHFB to be a very enjoyable and informative site, and very much enjoy the time I spend here interacting with many of its members. I am sure that many more “issues” and controversies will be seen in the future, I just hope that a lot more decorum, maturity and professionalism will be shown in how they are handled by the members from this point forward. Name-calling, hate-filled postings and off-color remarks will do nothing more than reflect poorly on the CHFB community and its members.

Now maybe we can move on and be the enjoyable forum that the CHFB is known for.
