Just kidding, fellas -- I admit that I saw SOUND OF MUSIC
on the big screen, and even bought the soundtrack, back in
those pre-R&R days before we knew that such things were
terribly uncool. But poking around the Internet I just discovered that Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse, who wrote the book for the musical based on Maria von Trapp's autobio, were the same guys who produced ARSENIC AND OLD LACE! So I guess it's cool to include their work among My Favorite Things after all -- at least in these quarters?
