I've never physically walked out of a film that I can remember, even TERMS OF ENDEARMENT (which writer Max Allan Collins once referred to as INTERMINABLE ENDURANCE), but I have fallen asleep on a few. LADY IN THE LAKE, THINGS TO COME and THE TOWERING INFERNO come to mind. This was when still in my teens, so I'll just chalk it up to a growth spurt or something.
Quote:
BATMAN AND ROBIN had my friend Ali and I squirming in our seats for what seemed like hours and hours praying the film would end.
I even made it all the way through that one, but only because my neighbor had co-created the Bane character, and I live in the City Of Good Neighbors, so what else could I do? At least I got my money's worth (I cashed in a free pass....)
