Can't help you find it online, but I recall a couple years ago going to an Orson Welles retrospective and a Welles scholar bringing this up. He started talking about this amazing discovery and how it was going to be featured in his next book. Not wanting to humiliate him in front of the entire audience, I told him privately afterward that the article had been proven conclusively to be a hoax. He was surprised and disappointed.

I was stunned that a so-called Welles "expert" could be so easily duped by an internet hoax. I just hope the guy didn't send any of his money to Nigerian widows he heard about in an e-mail!
