Yeah, they did it a lot for our local horror and especially sci-fi weekend horror showcases.

Another one that got constant previews was Calktiki, the Immortal Monster. The trailers were so,--how should I say?--compelling, that I spent the entire week in a state of eager anticiptation for the movie. When I finally saw it, well, it was okay, but the scene of the skull emerging from the blob played better in the preview than in the movie itself. A lot of waiting for a rather small payoff.
