LOST CONTINENT ('51). 83-minutes of collectors item tough guy patter, cold war paranoia, blood-belching triceratopses, endless mountain climbing on suspiciously similar sets, ungainly mountain climbers short on food and water but never wanting for cigarettes, Hugh Beaumont messing up and getting the business from Cesar Romero, Sid Melton talking to an airplane in his sleep and to his parachute while awake, Aquanetta sashaying in a sarong, Hillary Brooke doing a rumba in a slinky, strapless girdle-buster, nookie interruptus by Murray Alper, Whit Bissel disappearing into a cloud, John Hoyt disappearing altogether as he watches, etcetera & so forth.

Nothing inexplicable about my fondness for Paul Dunlap's music, though. It's a great score.

"What's a few more lives to you, you crazy, stupid uranium-happy!"
