In reference to Tom Weaver's comment, WADE, WADE, WADE etc. What are you, his boyfriend? I don't profess to know Mr. Williams personally, but we have mutual acqaintances. The mere mention of his name can clear the room. He is what collectors refer to as a HORDER. He submits bogus copyrights and warn print owners that he controls the titles. By just burning his name on the title card of a film, he demands a new work of art and claims ownership. You wonder why he's so unliked by so many. You've heard all the complaints. Maybe the old saying of "Where there's smoke, there's fire" may give you the true nature of things. As to rescuing prints from extinction, if missing or altered scenes, frames skipping and scratches is your idea of restoration, you need to re-evaluate your criteria in the area of physical film technology.
