Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one who did this! I should have known better, though...

In addition to movies, I also make sure to get some reading done. In addition to my annual rereading of Dracula, I plan to get in Lovecraft's "The Dunwich Horror," Algernon Blackwood's "The Willows" and "The Wendigo," and 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King.

I find it too difficult to maintain a movie schedule for an entire month, so I usually go with daily double features starting a week or so before Halloween proper. (Triple features on Friday and Saturday nights! Yay!) I also like mixing up classic movies with those of more recent vintage. Here's this year's schedule:

Monday 10/23
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Walt Disney)
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein

Tuesday 10/24
I Walked with A Zombie
Curse of Frankenstein

Wednesday 10/25
The Haunting (MGM)
The Others

Thursday 10/26
Frankenstein
The Fog (John Carpenter)

Friday 10/27
The Mummy (Hammer)
Cat People (Jacques Tourneur)
Bride of Frankenstein

Saturday 10/28
The Wolf Man
In the Mouth of Madness
Horror of Dracula

Sunday 10/29
The Howling
The Mummy (Universal)

Monday 10/30
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Legend of Hell House

Tuesday 10/31
Sleepy Hollow
(time permitting after trick-or-treaters) Van Helsing

Of course, schedules are tentative and subject to the approval of my wife! :-)
