I watch movies on PC. Sometime, I'll also copy a dvd I've rented to my hard drive when it's about to be overdue and I haven't had time to watch it, just yet.

But, my PC has 7.1 surround sound on it and is optimized to play pretty much any audio/visual media known to mankind.

My main reason is that I get a much better image on my pC, then on the television. I'll admit, I've gotten spoiled as while recently watching a movie on regular television, I kept noticing the scanlines. Something that NEVER happened to me until recently.

It all depends, though. If it's an older film, with mono sound, like the Lugosi fest on TCM,then my standard television does fine. Eventually I'll get a HD setup with a 7.1 surround receiver. Then, I'll be able to just sit back and enjoy a movie on TV, like I've been doing over the past couple of decades.
