Good heaves, I've most of them. "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Dracula (many, many times)," "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde," "Frankenstein," "The Picture of Dorian Gray," "The Phantom of the Opera (several times)" "The Invisible Man," "The Island of Dr. Moreau," "First Men in the Moon," "The Time Machine," "War of the Worlds," etc. I've read "Turn of the Screw" and lots of M.R. James (though not all of it), Saki, H.P. Lovecraft (I cannot understand his cult following), Robert E. Howard, "Hound of the Baskervilles" (terrific, but read "Sign of Four" if you are only going to read one Holmes novel).

I agree with the poster above -- to be really serious about the genre, you have to read the source material.
