Very striking indeed Count Brickenstein!

I like the Wolf Man and Gill Man covers for their sharpness of detail. I would most certainly buy those mags if I saw them on the stands.

But having said that, I think the Bates piece is the best, for having been based more on a drawing than a photo. How well I remember that defining moment of the film-- one of the handful of movie images that really scared me as a kid! I like the brick background too-- very evocative of the creepy Bates cellar.

I'll offer this next bit not as a criticism but as a form of curious speculation: If you were ever tempted to modify it further, and since it seems to be built in layers you probably have that option, I wonder how that background might look if you "rounded" the light source a bit, more like the rounded glow of that naked bulb in the film, rather than the straight across vignette you've used. Might serve to 'spotlight' the character even more than you already have done-- or, might not; as I say, it's just a thought. Again, I think the cover is REALLY effective as is!

Great stuff-- Good Luck!

(and if Connie is reading, yes, I would buy those cover images off the newsstand!)
