THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY -- talk about "dull, unwatchable junk"! I have much more fun with the underrated TROG, despite its rep. Now, keep in mind that this doesn't mean I don't generally prefer the old 30s and 40s classics!

Thems is figtin words. Are you mad??? Trogs not fit to sniff Dorian's $hit!

IMO THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY superlative, not really a "horror" film, but a true classic. Though similar in theme to Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, I've always found it more satisfying.

I also love the gimmick of Ivan Albright's wonderful portraits being the only Technicolor shots in the film. I had an opportunity to see the gruesome portrait in the film 7 years ago at The Chicago Art Museum and it truly is something to behold.
