I wonder if Warner's decision wasn't more about marketing strategy than anything else. There's already a LOT of classic horror/sf product coming on the market this Sept & Oct. Plus, Warner just released the Cult Camp Classics boxes, on top of this Terror set, so they would be competing with themselves.

Also -- the current Warner marketing strategy seems to allow for a one-year gap between similar releases (except for the annual Film Noir sets). For instance, we got a Bogie set last year, but not one this year. We'll get another Bogie set next year. A few years ago, they released a Bette Davis set and a Joan Collins set simultaneously. Last year we got another Bette set but no Joan. This year, we're getting another Joan set but no Bette. Next year will be Bette's turn again. Etc. -- So it would be consistent with this approach to begin taking a year off between LEGENDS OF HORROR type sets.
