I have a lot of fun with the third film, THE JUNGLE CAPTIVE -- Otto Kruger is a Mad Doctor, Rondo Hatton is his brutish assistant with more zany dialogue than any other time, and there's an ape woman running around. Are you sure you guys aren't thinking of the dull and flashbacks-strewn JUNGLE WOMAN? Even so, ALL of these should come out, eventually. Don't buy 'em if you don't like 'em, but don't discourage the release of "everything"!

Some of you nibble too much at the hand that feeds. I love horror movies, but if I ran a for-profit business, I would be pacing these sort of releases just like Universal has been. If they were Fox or Sony, you wouldn't have half of what Universal's kicked out, certainly not at these prices either.

I can agree with this at this point. I think it's a good thing that Universal is offering the old Double Features again on more reliable DVD-9 instead of the tricky "Legacy" versions. If someone doesn't care to buy them again, they don't have to; but they'll be there for those who do (both newbies and veterans). I will admit, however, that I've become more at ease with the repeats since recently learning of the NEW sets this year, too.

And we ARE getting all Universal's library slowly but surely -- last year we got the first wave of 50s SciFi movies, plus the Karloff Collection and the Inner Sanctum Collection. This year we're getting a Horror Collection and the second Fifties SciFi Set. For those crying that they're sick of the "same old thing", well HORROR ISLAND and NIGHT KEY had never been released to home video before, in ANY format!
