The Beatles seem kind of embarrassed by HELP!, because they were stoned throughout much of the shoot and didn't take it seriously. John Lennon, when he was still with us, described it as a remnant of his "Fat Elvis" period when he was literally crying for help. So I don't think the Powers That Be have a very clear view of it, and getting it back onto the market isn't a priority.

As I once said in a different thread here, I think time will be beneficent to this movie, which I already find to be at least the equal of A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. It's one of the inventively colorful British films of the Sixties.

Mind you, this is an organization that, to date, hasn't issued any improved remasterings of their CDs since they first hit the market back in the '80s. (The remasters ARE coming, though.)
