I don't want to issue or invite any spoilers since I'm working my way through this set now (I tried to follow along during the season, but like many other TV series, its schedule and mine didn't always jibe, and I quickly lost continuity).
A couple of observations:
1. The unaired pilot was pretty complicated. More characters and threads than could possibly be driven and connected, although I thought they were interesting. If I watched correctly, one thread disappeared completely between the pilot and the first couple of episodes (if it shows up later on, I want it to be a surprise). But there were other changes such as the whereabouts of Ali Larter's husband -- in the pilot he's in prison (from time to time), and in the first episode he's just disappeared and on the run from both police and nastier criminals.
2. The deleted scenes for the pilot really helped in understanding the storyline(s); the deleted scenes in the first two or three episodes weren't all that revealing, sometimes just snippets of information.
3. What is up with Isaac's hand? Does he saw it off as is implied in one of the deleted scenes for the pilot? That part seems to have been dropped from the series.
4. I know I've seen bits and pieces from episodes 1 through 4 but some of the material seems brand new, so I must have been flipping channels for some reason, or was pulled away from the episode and missed some footage. It's making this second viewing a little more exciting.
Good series. Season Two is due out soon?
