I love both these films but Phibes is a personal favorite for it's deco visual style. The pace lags a bit to be sure but Phibes is a great character and Price makes the most of the halting speech. I also love the surreal elements including the totally ridiculous character of Vulnavia!
Theatre of Blood is much faster paced however and truly grisly in its murders. That force-meat feeding still gets to me and I do love the high 70's style and grit. Both are great films and Price performances- among my favorites of his along with Withcfinder General.

When I was 11 or 12, I saw Vincent Price speak at the University of Rochester in 1972 . He showed The Raven and talked alot about cooking and dogs as I very vaguely recall.
