OK there was a New York based publishing company called Atlas Editions whose products included informational collector cards (subjects included Nature, War History, Guns, etc.). In the mid to late 1990s they acquired (or merged with) two other publishers Colliers and Newfield. Atlas had, at some point acquired the license from Paramount Pictures to produce a series of collectible large format info cards (two sided 8.5"x 11" heavy gauge glossy cardstock with text and color images/photos) based on the Star Trek TV and Film productions. This series was initially marketed in 1996 under the Collier Newfield name, and was called THE STAR TREK UNIVERSE collection.

They were marketed directly to consumers on a subscription basis of 30 cards per month (10 cards per 'deck').  Other products associated with this line included binders and dividers for housing and organizing the collection, and around 1997 a collection of 16 coasters were created utilizing the existing production/printing process. This consisted of four cards from each of the television shows that had been produced to that point, and focused on the various space ships seen on the shows. Beginning in 1998 the cards were sold under the Atlas Editions brand, and made available for retail sale in addition to subscription. This would continue until sometime in 2001 when Atlas Editions went out of business. A total of 950 cards were ultimately produced.
