I guess. The gate in A&CMF seems rather poorly designed. One would need to ascend the steps to unlock it, then retreat down the steps to open it outward, then proceed back up the steps again to enter. It makes for a nice scene when the monster pushes the gates open, however, which would not have been possible had the gates swung inward onto the property--so maybe aesthetics had more to do with it than typical gate design. 

I did note in the quoted text back in post #465 that the gates might possibly be to Seward's property, but that wasn't an option that Casey was willing to accept.
