Say, but I have fond memories of SPECTER OF THE GUN. I'm flabbergasted that it was cheaper to come up with all those studio bound, surreal half sets rather than just going to one of the many standing western sets. Did Paramount not have one of those? I recall reading that David Gerrold even submitted his original pitch for THE TROUBLE WITH TRIBBLES set on a colony that would economicaly look just like an old western town thinking that Desilu would have no problem with such a local.
By the way, and speaking of the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE sets, where did the vaugly european city in RETURN OF THE ARCONS originate? Or for that matter, the mock cities seen in MIRI or CITY ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER.
