Unfortunately, Gary didn't discuss the article in Hollywood magazine, so we don't know what he would have made of it, unless he tells us. From my reading of Gary's book, I'd agree that there is compelling evidence that Browning was involved in the editing of the film at least to some extent, but even Gary leaves open the possibility that Browning had moved on before the editing was completed. At least I didn't see anything in his book that would have precluded that from happening.
