He had a real grasp of ol' Crookback.

But he always played it as both Crookback and Club foot. Would he have been willing to share the spotlight with Karloff as Mord or would it have been an entirely different picture without Karloff, the Richard characterization falling more in line with Vincent Prices' in the later TOL film?
