I posted this in another section and got nary a boo, so I figured I'd try my luck here.

Was thinking of recreating Harryhausen's Ymir in CG and was wondering what you folks thought of the Tony McVey version. I kind of like it and was thinking of using it more as a guide.

The arms seem wrong, and I think it's because the glenohumeral joint and rotator cuff (round part over the shoulder) seem much too large for a creature with that narrow of a clavicle and scapula. Basically, the shoulder looks much too strong for something with that narrow of a shoulder yoke. Bears have something of that posture, but have much beefier shoulders, but this looks something like a bipedal cat. But cats have a very weak shoulder design and arms not designed for lifting.

Basically, this thing has human shoulders, but not the consequences of the human arm design.
