THE KILLING is a pretty awesome movie. I think it's a noir, just of a more modern kind. It feels ahead of it's time. Sterling Hayden is just great in that one and Elisha Cook Jr. plays the perfect loser.

I'm always torn between that one and THE ASPHALT JUNGLE, though RIFIFI is another mind blower of a heist film, if you dig foreign films.

IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE is one of the best alien invader films. I always dug the plot. The aliens aren't really overtly malignant, they just want to get the hell out of here! The performances are all around pretty gritty, while combining that beautiful Bradbury prose. Strange how this film has those existential roots.

Does anyone know why this one was't included in that Universal Sc-Fi set a few years back?
