It's amazing what you can learn at CHFB, the mix of different types of contributors makes it so great.

Writers and historians, all types of other industry professionals, and a great number of people who are "just" fans, but actually bring so much in from different perspectives and other areas of expertise that there is something (lots of things, actually) for just about everybody. Lots of really smart, really nice people, who have devoted lots of their personal time and energy to different things under the big umbrella and are kind enough to share their secret treasures of knowledge.

Then there are unread people like me who spend too much time watching bad movies and telling jokes and have no understanding of anything really important, but like being here anyway .

All the while our founding fathers keep things running smoothly and are on the alert for reckless drivers and anyone trying to pour sand in the gearbox.

We first got internet access in 2000, and I was on Ron Adams' Monsterbash chat group not long after that, but Ron closed that one down for a time. I actually joined CHFB in 2004 and asked a couple of questions about The Space Children, but I was busy doing other things and didn't really post here regularly until 2011. I'm so glad I did, I'm perpetually grateful for all the intersting and friendly members here.
