However, I'm glad there IS a point where they become aware of what's happening to them. I just hope it doesn't come TOO late.


It comes pretty late in the picture. I hope not too late to spoil things for you.

One reason I liked the group NOT sharing the accumulation of weird events with one another is because of the films where the characters DO have clues but continue to act stupidly when we would haul tail out of there if it were happening to us. But, no, they continue on as if there is nothing odd. Very frustrating when the obvious is ignored.

In films where characters are more or less trapped in a location or for some reason can't just run away I agree that the sharing of info and the rising terror works very effectively, even in some bad films. Maybe this film would have been stronger had it followed this approach. Might have raised it from a merely interesting and ambitious little genre film to a minor classic.
