"Outlander! We have your woman!"

That quote pretty much sums it up. The kid preacher was the best thing in the movie, and genuinely effective... too bad it was the role he was born to play and the only one he'd ever be known for.

I thought King's short story was very effective when I read it as a kid, and still do, but it works best as a short work. The longer it's stretched out, the more it withers under scrutiny. A modern remake could be effective, with a good director and none of that "outlander" wackiness.
