I picked up the JUST BEFORE DAWN Blu-ray and watched it a couple of days ago.  First time seeing this, though I'm quite a fan of Lieberman's other three flicks, SQUIRM, BLUE SUNSHINE and the endearingly goofball-but-reasonably-straight-faced underrated gem REMOTE CONTROL.  I enjoyed DAWN the least of all of these, but it certainly is well-made and lovely to look at.  Excellent location cinematography and good performances all around, but not quite juicy enough for a successful horror thriller.  Still worth picking up though.  I haven't watched the extended cut yet, but did take a look at it to see what it looked like.  Definitely grindhouse quality visuals.  I think this would have been much better done with seamless branching, using the nice-looking theatrical version for the bulk of the film and dropping in the extra grungy bits as needed.
