Re: LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT frame grabs. No, seriously. (reply)
I never disputed that DRACULA was the first genuine sound era horror film. Unless its THE LAUREL AND HARDY MURDER CASE.

Now a frame has turned up from the lost Technicolor MGM film THE ROGUE SONG, featuring Laurel and Hardy in supporting roles. See the Laurel and Hardy Forum for more details! What's next? How about frames from the Lugosi-Frankenstein...

I don't much care for Lugosi as Ygor, and I don't think he's all that good at it. I mUUUCH prefer DRACULA, THE DEVIL BAT, and loads of other performances.

I'd still place Harry Langdon's HEART TROUBLE and Laurel and Hardy's HATS OFF ahead of it on my Most Wanted List, but I feel strangely exhilarated that two itty bitty pieces of LAM survive!

GORGO is still a better movie than GOJIRA. Gorgo's attack on London is better paced, better edited, and just a lot more exciting than G's plodding destruction of Tokyo.
