Re: Your First Monster Collectable (reply)
If you are asking us to name our first monster item from childhood, mine were the Colorforms Aliens. I teethed on them. My next monster item was the Aurora Creature glow in the dark model kit. The flood gates opened after that. I had all...

I agree the NECA 8" Snake looks better than the Sidesow 12" version. I heard Snake was available at TRU, but I haven't seen him yet.

Re: NOMINATIONS FOR RONDO XIII (reply)
Interesting that the feeling around here seems to be that, in the book category, the Dracula book is a shoe-in. At UMA and HMA, Lee Lambert's Don Post book probably seems like a shoe-in for "best book" of the year. Very different...

The Babadook is a revelation. It's a once-in-a-decade, genre-defining kind of film. Unfortunately, it will be up against Guardians of the Galaxy, The Winter Soldier, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, maybe The Lego Movie. Maybe the Rondo...

Due to the muted audio, I will probably remove SOLOMON from YouTube. I have uploaded it to my Facebook page. If you are friends with Coffinray on Facebook, you can see it there. Unless Facebook takes it down.

Re: Topstone masks (reply)
That's a Topstone Caveman with fang-like teeth. There were at least two sculpts of the mask. One had the two prominent teeth as you see in the Honeymooners image, and the other had full rows of even teeth.

Finally, here is our "test film" for Fighting for the Lost Mines of Solomon. See, we were so ambitious, we actually made a "test film" before shooting the real one. You know, to test our cinematic techniques, see if they worked.

This is a Super 8 film I made with my bother, Gamal Castile, when we were children. It is an Indiana Jones fan film, obviously inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark. We shot it during the summer of 1982, using a silent home movie camera...

I've been meaning to buy a Golem off ebay, but the shipping scares me off. It's a big toy in a heavy box. I'm a mint-in-box collector, so a loose one doesn't interest me.
