Re: The Old Dark House (Wm. Castle) (reply)

Regarding "aliens of all imagi-nations"...way back when all the nonsense began, it was either "tall, blonde Nordic" types (closest to color and size of an Earth-type"), or "midget-like greenies (the color...

Too bad this is only a publicity photo: Would've been creepy for a ten-year-old to see in the movie. (Wonder if it was shot on the lower level of the Hyperion Water Treatment plant. Mrs. Saucerman: "How'd the shoot go...

Re: THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN - Japanese Blu-ray (reply)
"Fear of the Abominable Snowman". Interesting transfer.  Nice sharp picture with (as mentioned) some eccentric sound levels around reel changes.  There is one thing, though.  It's the 85 minute, Twentieth Century-Fox "Of The Himalayas"...

Met him at the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con.  Sitting on a bench, having a drink.  Great, friendly down-to-earth fella.  Asked him about Georgianna Carter.  Mentioned Tom Weaver.  Got a big grin.  "How's he doin'?!" R.I.P.

Re: THE TINGLER (reply)
Back in '59, there were a lot of us who couldn't get enough of Bill Castle's fun gimmick pictures.  Until HOMICIDAL (with its color-coded tickets), you could sit and watch 'em as many times as you'd like.  When there were camera tricks,...
