Met him once at a convention. He was arguing with a group of people about godzilla films, and telling them their taste was bad and new fans were destroying godzilla fandom and films.  After listening and trying to get in a word...

Well zootopia is actually a better film than the 2014 Godzilla...ūüėĀ I would would be interested inn the total ticket sales. i doubt it will do better than the Total tickets sold of the most successful of the modern Japanese Godzilla...

TOHO composite blue screen shots improved in the mid 60s , when Tsuburays had TOHO purchase a then state of the art oxberry optical printer. But even then the results could be quite hit or miss. They really finally caught up around the...

We could of course also point out the logistics. The budget of the 2014 film is more than EVERY Godzilla film from 1984 thru 2004. The average time to build all the miniatures for A Heisei series Godzilla film (1984-1995)  was 1 1/2...

What makes you think "realism" is the goal? Look at the history of Japanese art. Is Kabuki or Noh theater realistic by western standards? Look at Asian paintings through history. Are they realistic  in a western sense, like something in...

The fact that this is so soft..and especially that is the cut reissue makes this a pass for me. The UK version I have will need to hold me for now I guess

It seems that the DVD of the Thing that was issued in Japan was a notable improvement over the U.S. version...so keeping my fngers crossed that this will be good!
