Re: "Chiller' 1985 TV movie  (reply)
Miles reminds me of a similar character but this guy came back from the dead after he was killed in Nam. It took place in the South. Don't remember the title, though. Miles acted as if he had no soul or the spark of life. He was just a...

Re: The Devils Rain... (reply)
What made the movie so memorable for me was when Corbis cursed Martin Fyffe while burning at the stake, and the exchange he had with Mark Preston at the water trough. The little things do mean a lot in this film.

I was looking through my books and found my copy of a horror encyclopedia of sorts which contains nothing but essay and found an essay about Phantasm written by a Michael Vario. He writes that Coscarelli, "wanted to make [a horror movie]...

This review from "366 Weird Movies" is for those who want a serious and insightful explanation of the movie, especially the dream sequences. When I read the "Comments" section of the review, the writer made me think about Phantasm in a...

I suspect this girl really likes the horror movies she rips apart. Why go through all the effort? She must have other interests in her life. She's a closet horror fan.

Re: Phantasm (reply)
I found this horror blog called "Girl Meets Freak" and they review Phantasm, or more like the girl, Kristine, rips into it but in a very humorous way. The Freak, Sean, can't understand why she thinks Phantasm "would suck in any year!"...

Re: What 70's Film Would You Show To a 1950's Audience?  (reply)
I'd show them "Gargoyles (1972)". I think they'd get a kick out of it. If it's for shock value, then "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". Can't go wrong with the latter.

Re: recommend the best WEREWOLF movies in recent years (reply)
I know it's not recent but this one is a must see and definitely under-appreciated as far as werewolf movies go: Scream of the Wolf (1974). If you're a fan of all things werewolf, then this is required viewing. Also, let's not forget the...

Good job, deadcowboy. Bowery at Midnight, to me, is the best of the bunch. Great plot and atmosphere.

The Servants of Twilight (1991)  (topic)
