The latest movie he is hosting is the 1961 B-movie classic The Phantom Planet. Along with PLANET Fritz has included some vintage tv commercials. Sep 6 11 6:27 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I highly recommend checking out Fritz if you aren't familiar -- they're selling the episodes on DVD, too, and showing them on the big screen at the local Grandview theater here. Fritz had/has a very different schtick than the other classic hosts, and the new episodes give you a fairly good approximation of what I grew up watching in the 1970s/1980s.

May 17 12 1:29 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	By the way, the new Fritz show grew out of a local filmmaker's attempt to make a documentary about Fritz; instead, he relaunched the show as a live event and started making new episodes. One of the reasons the documentary stalled was because of the lack of original footage from the old show. Then, just recently, while cleaning out some storage space, Fritz himself discovered more than 35 hours of original footage from the 1970s and 1980s on 1-inch tape and reel-to-reel. Mike McGraner, the filmmaker, is transferring all of that stuff to digital and plans to run some of it at the live events this month. Fritz doesn't remember ever bringing the tapes home or why he even has them. It was like they dropped out of the sky.

May 19 12 9:08 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The recently discovered Fritz tapes are set to come out as a series of DVDs beginning in the Fall. The material goes back to the earliest days in the 70s and goes all the way into the 90s. This is a MAJOR wow!

May 19 12 10:07 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Just got the news that Fritz is hosting a Universal Horrors double feature of Dracula's Daughter & Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man on Fri. July 6th at the Ohio Theatre here in Columbus. I've also had the pleasure of meeting him and he really is a class act with a knowledge and collection of jazz music that is second to none.

He deserves a tip of the ol' hat for his work on bringing these rarities to light & making them available to Fritz's fans.
